Fundraising Appeal
We currently have no provision for an accessible toilet to accommodate physically disabled people or those with impaired mobility and this is our number one priority - so that our hall can be fully inclusive and meet the needs of our local population.
Surprisingly, there are no government grants available to help towards these costs and so we are launching an ambitious fundraising appeal in order to raise funds ourselves.
It's a challenging time to launch this appeal, as many businesses have suffered the impact of Covid and many charitable trusts who could previously have helped are either suspending their grants, diverting their grants to frontline Covid responses, or not funding plans which relate to face to face activities. We also have our own running costs to fundraise for, having lost substantial income from our regular events (find out how you can help).
Nevertheless, we have had architect plans drawn up scoping out the work required and we are currently trying to identify local building companies who may be interested in quoting for this work. We need to obtain the competitive quotes in order to set our fundraising target, create our fundraising plan and begin writing and submitting grant applications.
If you own or work for or know of a local company who may be interesting in submitting a quote, please get in touch with us. You can email us at finchammemorialhall@gmail.com
